if you have an aftermarket intake it might not like it. Had a friends whose got wet and his car would have stalling probs. But i also have a friend that leaves it off all the time even when he washs his car

I tried it for my first time before Thanksgiving and didn't think it was gonna be as easy as it was to get off, but when I did it I knew it wasnt gonna rain so I left it on a few days and it finally did rain and It really didnt make a difference, maybe a little steam, but I still put in back on that same day the rain began.

One thing I loved about it was seeing the engine block and you could hear the engine noticeably louder inside the car.

it would make it easier for the rain, snow, salt to get into the engine bay
but as long as you are aware of this, then no problem

I've had mine off and everything seems fine. The engine bay gets wet, but I have had no recurign problems, just waterspots.

When I went out in the pouring rain one time, my car sputtered and almost stalled a few times, like his friend, but other than that, it has not happened to me since.

Defs can see more heat coming from the motor without it on. On a nice cool night it defs keep the motor pretty cool. Plus with an open filter it seems to catch the air coming in from the hood in my opinion. Plus without it on makes the bov louder. Mine is defs louder without it on

All you need is pliers and a flat head screwdriver. there is only a couple of plastic screws and two metal wire clipps. takes 2 mins to do.

I had mine off over thanksgiving weekend too while I repainted it. The only thing I worried about is the flow of air out of the engine while you're driving. The sheild looks like it's designed to channel air out of the top, but not let it in the top.

If air is coming into the engine bay through the front of the car, and through the top -- it might cause turbulance, causing hot air to get trapped. That's just my $0.02
