Currently? Nothing mechanical, but paint on the calipers and clear on the wing are bad.

In your case, what's making the throw out bearing move at idle? Just engine vibration? but why does that make the throw out bearing rattle? The pressure plate is only rotating, and not moving axially, the bearing itself is under no load, the release fork is stationary, why is the throw out bearing moving? So if I took a throw out bearing in my hand, and shook it, it should rattle?
Obviously I'm not going to convince you one way or the other. I can tell you I've been working on DSM's for almost five years (not nearly as long as most people) before I got the EVO and the TOB made noise in them too. When I changed the TOB in the DSM the noise stopped.

30k no problems whatsoever. I have moderate engine modifications and decided to make sure my evo was one of the "strong batch" before i did some higher level performance packages. After winter, the evo will be a whole new beast!

35K miles

Drivers side seat plastic is cracked.
Tranny grinds going into fifth.
Brakes squeel like a stuck pig when they heat up.
Paint on brake calipers is bubbling. T
hat stupid floormat tack wont hold that stupid floomat.
Turbo outlet has a stripped out bolt hole(thanks to the STEALERSHIP).
Oh and I just went through my second motor in a 28 day period because the tech that installed my warranty motor didnt check for leaks when he installed it, so he missed the main seal leak that was starving the mains for oil at highway speeds.

Other than that I love my car. It handles better than anything I have ever driven and gets more looks than most anything I have ever owned.

hmm got about 3k and the only thing that drives me nuts right now is the goddam rattle. Seems like it is coming from the climate control/radio area... its like a creaking noise when i drive on the freeway.

Any ideas?

8200 miles on the 03', only issue was the TOB noise. 802 miles on the 06' MR, and the only thing wrong with it is that I haven't driven it more.

Number 4 Cylinder/piston

need a rebore, new pistons, new crank, and some valve work in the head, along with a replacement for the worn-out stock clutch (I made it to 30k miles).

Oh, and the worst of all: a cracked windshield.

(Note, sig reflects all I'm doing to bring car back to life.)
