I'm in the market for evo9 testpipe.
The 02 sensor is in the cat for 9's, so replacing the cat with testpipe will throw cell most likely.
Where would this 02 sensor go if i was to remove the cat?
Also, would the mechical CEL fix be any useful??

Are you planning on using the stock dp and catback or do you already have something larger diameter?

Most catback systems have a bung for the sensor to plug into on the midpipe just after the cat. These cars run so damn rich from the factory that you'll most likely throw a CEL with a test pipe.

 

I will be running 3" downpipe, 3" testpipe, and 3" catback.
Would custom tune resolve the problem?

 

i got the ultimate racing test pipe for my ix and the cel light is not on

 

ultimate racing 3 in test pipe. throws no cell. price is right. i had mine for months now and still no check engine light.

 

I guess I'll go with UR 3" testpipe then. Saves me a big headache.
Then I'll have 3" helix dp, 3" UR tp, 3" RnR catback with HKS carbon/ti muffler.
It is a bit frankenstein but still is 3" all the way.
Does this look ok?
