I believe mid 12s are very possible with these cars (SRT-8s), but just because it's possible, doesn't mean it will be the norm. Most will only run low 13s, which isn't bad, and some will run high 12s, which is even better, but on it's best day, in the best conditions, mid 12s can happend. They do have high enough trap speeds, but traction will be an issue with most. Now 12s with the IX, I believe people are going to have to get use to idea once the strips begin to open up across the country in the near future. TForan, I wish you luck, but if you are not able to accomplish your goal at first, keep at it and practice and your times will improve.l
Yeah, i'd much rather pay ~$40k more for a car with the same chassis and a more-expensive-to-modify motor running similar numbers stock.
Back on topic - I find it hard to believe that car ran 12.5 bone stock when most people are running mid 13's and 7mph slower. Especially considering its an auto so there is not as much difference in driver potential at this level of speed. However, anything is possible I suppose, but i would certainly not consider a stock srt-8 a 12 sec car if I see it at a stoplight.
On a road course, that's not even a comparison - one is an under-tired overweight boat and the other is a purpose-built cornering machine.

It would be nice to see them build one of these with an SRT-8 option. Especially if they made it lighter!
