Thinking of getting rid of my evo

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=175997
https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=176858

I am really thinking of getting rid of the evo. Ive had this car for 5 months and its already broken twice . Ive gotten it fixed twice and now im waiting to find out the damaged caused by the freeze plug coming out. Im am getting really stressed out w/ this car breaking down and concerns that it might do it again. I think its in my best interest to part it out and sell it. I am gona sleep on this decision.... Whatever i decide i will let you guys know. PLEASE DO NOT PM ASKING FOR PRICES OR PARTS! Thanks

Take a deep breath and really think things through. I'm in the same boat, but for different reasons. I keep regretting buying the EVO and want a Viper or Z06, but the wife has given me the blessing on another car we just have to make some adjustments first. I gave the EVO a good flogging today and even though it felt like a slow civic it was fun.

My kids keep scratching my paint, so that is erking me too, but how much more erked would I be if it were a Viper?? In the end it's nothing a 200+whp won't fix and tax returns are right around the corner.

Good luck and as long as it is fixed under warranty I wouldn't sweat it too much unless this is you're DD then I would be sweating it. I have a Hyundai for a DD under warranty to 100K Good luck!!

DONT SELL IT! If it breaks one more time call mitsubishi and demand a buy back.. then you wont take any loss on the car.

Either its a lemon... or you can't drive, plain and simple. A doesnt just fall apart, UNLESS... it is a lemon. I have had mine for over 40k miles with no issues, period. Anything and everything that I had an issue with (brembo paint and wing) were replaced without hassle.

i feel ya, i bought mine in feb. and i just don't think it was worth the money, i should've gotten the s2000 cause the reliability record is way better than the evo. but i already had two cars before and would've had to do it again cause i'm sure the s2000 isn't good in snow so i had to go with the evo if i wanted a DD.

How exactly did you freeze plug blow out?? mine blew out about a year ago but that was due to a high boost spike and it actually help me keep my motor... did the plug blew due to normal driving??
