Keep it! I've had my 03 Evo8 for 40K miles and not a single problem.....Sleep on it and see what the Evo gods have in store for you tomorrow!

 

Well that sucks that your thinking about getting rid of it. So what was the damage, did the dealer take responsibility and cover the damages under warranty? Give it some time because after you get the car back and if it doesn't give you any problems you might not feel the same way. Maybe the biggest problem is the service dept. that you're taking the car to.

 

Out of thousands of cars produced in a line, there are always a few bad apples, my last car fell under that also before I bought the EVO .

I say buy what you like, if you had your fill of the evo, then there are plenty of amazing cars out there ready to be flogged

 

wow thats weird man, id had mine about a lil less then a year, have not had a major problem yet. think about it before you do anything crazy man.

 

I'm not exactly sure its the car causing the problems, I'm leaning more towards the user. But it could be some car issues + user. I've had my car about the same amount of time and never had a problem but then again I'm still stock and drive normally. The only out of norm driving I've done is a trip to NC/TN on some curvy roads (including US-129).

then again it could possibly be a lemon. i bought my 05 eb evo march. i've had not 1 problem. if he's having all these problems it could be a lemon or some other strange thing. ya never know

Sorry i havent replied guys! Ive been busy moving. Anyways, i got news today. The motor looks good so far, inspected the pistons, valves etc.. The head was sent to the machine shop just to make sure its not damaged. Looks like the hg was discolored from the gases.


I havent decided yet what i want to do with the car. Part of me wants to keep it, and part of me wants to sell it bc of the headeaches ive had so far. Im gona sleep on this one pretty much. If it breaks again and i lemon it, not sure if i would just want another Evo, i might get my money back and get something else.. Ill post once i make my decision. Thanks for the support guys
