The Beatrush underpanel for the Evo covers twice as much as other underpanels made for other vehicles. This is why it cost more for the Evo. Here's some pictures for comparison:

Hey to all that thinks removing it is a PITA, go to your local Napa, and pick up the plastic rivets for GM cars. I know that they are used on the Colorado, so that might be a start to get you in the right direction. I will try to get you a Napa part number and or a picture of the rivet so that you can see why I have converted my last TWO cars to these style rivets.

You can get them out with your fingers, no tools necessary! If you go to Napa, they usually have a display of all different types, just look at the GM's ones, and I am sure you will be able to figure it out. I will try to get a pic anyways.

Actually, i searched on Napa's website and found a pic. I hope it works:

As you can see, you can get enough grip on the rivet part to pull it out with your fingers, and no tools.

Napa's item number is:

Item#: BK 6652409

And the best part is it's $4.99 for 13 as their web site says.

Things to watch out for:

The rivet "base" is larger than the base of the stock style rivets, so on some rivet
locations you might not be able to use them. I have used these with great success.

The nisei won't fit with the beatrush?

I have a beatrush underpanel from Kamispeed. I went on a drive last weekend, and bottomed out prety hard. I think if I didn't have the underpanel on that it would have taken most of my front end out. Instead, I just have a bent skidplate, and need to buy a new tranny crossmember. I have the Perrin IC, and it fits without a problem.

The part you take off to change the oil was missing when i bought my car and didnt realize it till i got home from the individuals house. Pretty much made me take the whole thing off cause at higher speeds the car would pull. One day would like the Beatrush just 325$ seems steep! Maybe someone else will come out with one.

Beatrush UnderPanels are now $295 and their are now Beatrush dealers through the US, so that you (the customer) can save on shipping. For further details, please contact us. Thank you very much.

So, how much trouble is it to remove the Beatrush underpanel? Does it support the side panels behind the front wheels? Is what looks to be a removable panel in the center there to provide access to the lifting point?

^ Its pretty easy to remove the underpanel once its installed, since it only takes the removal of the bolts. The rear section is only required to remove to change the oil; the whole underpanel doesn't need to be removed.

The Beatrush underpanel comes with extension air panels that extends the front wheel wells. As for the middle section, this can be removed to get to the lifting point or tow hook.

Took mine off long time ago, never had one with my other cars, so oh well. Plus I always jack the car up from the front cross member tow hook and the plastic underpanel covers it up.

I have the beatrush. I didn't have any instructions and it was a BREEZE to install...fits like a glove. You can move the undertray around before you tighten everything up so that it fits correctly.

Over all I look at it this way...if it served no purpose, it wouldn't be there!?!? Mine is on, and it's a MAJOR PITA to remove.. It's all because of those plastic rivet peices. If we find a better way (i.e. the members post for Napa rivets) to remove it....Than everyone would leave it on. Anybody have any other ideas for the rivets..(like the Napa rivet idea)?
