this is my first thread but you cant say that i'm new. I'M NOT A NEWBIE. i know my ****. but i always keep myself silent. i noticed that there's a lot of flaming goin on in this place specially for the new guys. yes they need to search, but sometimes they can't find the answers they want and that is why they turn to this forum and they get the flaming. i think we need to respect one another even more since the car is pretty new here in the U.S. we should be helping each other to learn not by bashing each other. anyways just sayin wat's up to all you guys
I agree but when theres 30 threads on the same topic it gets pretty annoying. But I got to admit when I need a quick answer and dont feel like fishing through a 50 page thread I will post it up.
I think i've started maybe 3-4 posts since i joined almost 2 years ago, reason is all the answers were always there if i searched, Hence the knowledge i have today. I would agree that we should all repect each other, but you have to draw the line somewhere
J!n K@z@mA,
Ok, we have established your credentials as a bonafide EVO owner and a guy who knows his sh*t . That still doesn't change the fact that newbies don't fololow posted guidelines for forum etiquette and would rather look for an easy answer instead of doing a little homework. Sad fact but true. Sometimes people need a little fire under their butt to arouse common sence, but then again that would be mean. Give a man a fish he eats for a day , teach him to fish and he eat for life. The newbs need to fish before asking for handouts, its good for them .

like i said earlier, they need to search. but sometimes try to be considerate that they probably seached but did not find the answers they need. i know this because sometimes it happens to me, and probably to most of us in here too. yes they need to search but be considerate. i know what u guys mean flaming them so they'll learn. but i guess we have to find out who's abusing our knowledge to the one who is really new to the scene

Naw man , i understand what you are saying. I used to be a newb and War would jump in my @ss with both feet when i asked a stupid question... tough love i guess. I worked though. Its all subjective though one mans appreciation is anothers hurt feelings.

well anyways this thread is not for evolved members, but also for newbies. well i've been to this forum for a long time now and it's about time for me to register. whatever u guys think oh well...bash each other...in a good way but respect right?! later pple
It's fine when newbies or non newbies ask questions that they cannot find the answers to. And I agree that sometimes it is hard to find some answers to some questions. But when you have questions like "What is the loudest VTA BOV" or which "Which intake makes the loudest sound", those are the threads that been discussed over and over already.

i argee , it starts to annoy the hell outa me when i see someone post about i want something loud so i can startle other drivers. if it has nothing to do with performance its a waste of words. i know we need to help each other but as some people said before me there is a line and it gets passed to many times.
i agree on the topic...i think what might help would be a section in FAQ about how to search properly. some people who dont come up with any matches often do not used the advanced search or the right keywords.
Personally, if I see a post about BOV's, I see it as a chance for a vendor to make a sale, and a future loyal customer, maybe even give some advice...... Idiots in my opinion or not, the more people on here, the better for our vendors to make more money, possibly giving us better deals. Who knows.....

I think this "i'm a nOOb dont bash me thread" has been started a bunch of times also, so you are not the first one. Not bashing, but so you know. This whole subect of bashing has been discussed alot lately too.
I vote you have to take a "test" before you start posting. It would eliminate many useless posts.
question 1) when should you start a new thread?
a) when i have a question
b) when i want to know the loudest VTA BOV
c) I need to know differences between 2 similar products
d) after i searched and didn't find an answer
---sample question---
