As for dBA... Car and Driver (yea.... lol) says the stock MR is 78dBA under full throttle. I dont know how they measure that though. Probably from inside the car because i know this car is louder than that if you're standing out near the tail pipe. I've heard quite a few on the dyno and they can't be that quiet.

I'm curious to hear what it sounds like as well. I'm a little north of L.A.

I'm pretty sure those C&D sound readings are from inside the cabin. According to that survey done by Norcalevo, the stock VIII exhaust was ~85db max.

It's a free rev. 3krpm, 5k, then 7k. The method is in line with the legal requirements on that 95db rule.
