Oil temp sensor oil leak?

a pipe threaded insert is tapered, the material gets slightly larger (diameter) the further up the threads. sometimes just a little 1/8 or 1/16 turn on the insert (sender) will stop the leak. teflon tape won't hurt either. most of the oil should be in the pan, some may leak out if you take the sender out. just take it out, put a pan under it, clean the sender and area of the insert up, put some tape on the sender, snug it up and replace the oil that leaked out. oh, and check for leaks

fixed it today before I read all the new replies. Well all i did was put the pan under (was ready for a lot of oil to come out) and about a few tablespoons or so came out. So all i did was take out the sender and wrapped the threads with the teflon tape and reinstalled. Then cleaned up the area and started the car let it sit for a while. And guess what no more leak!
Thanks for the help everyone.
Oh yeah and one of my original questions was will a lot of oil come out from the sender. The answer is no for everyone that said it would. A very minimal amount came out and there was no need to drain all the oil out. I could have left it as is, because I still had enough oil in it, but I decided to add a little just in case.
