This is exactly where Vettes and Evo's differ.....

We bought our cars because their high performance daily drivers to most of us, obviously Vettes will slay they're made too, but people that own them drive them on weekends because they know if would be way to expensive to maintain.

Our car is way more practical for day to day use.

So at the end of the day the EVO still wins IMO.

I've driven a late model vette. Its a different experience altogether. I don't doubt that a vetta on a high speed track would waste our cars stock for stock.

Incredible torque, huge tires. An all american experience by far.

But dollar for dollar, nothing beats our cars.

On a perfectly dry track - probably. On a wet track though I'd give the nod to the Evo, hands down.

Very very true. My point was that a Vette will always have a wow factor that the Evo cannot match. Its a subjective view, but one most outsiders hold.

Why? AWD? You understand that tires really make the difference, right?

i have also owned a few older porsches... and if you want to talk about quality, then i think we know where the bar has been set face it, a vette is nothing but a fast chevy. end of story. it still uses leaf springs and a pushrod engine... both things developed before computers were invented. yes, the evo is a fast lancer, but i don't really care... but i'm not impressed by vettes.

from experience racing the zo6 and even being less modded, if he is stock, with your mod list you will very politely spank his rear.... i didnt have cams, full tbe, boost controller, intake, flash, clutch and flywheel and i was running a 12.5 which the 05 zo6 at the time was only hitting a 12.6 or slower 12.5

I see your goign to make this a "mine is bigger than yours" arguement, which is quite sad. I have had the pleasure of driving a Porsche before, and it is an excellent drive. For you not to say the same about the C6 Corvette is both unfair and incorrect. While you are correct that both leaf springs and pushrod engines were developed without aid of computers, you are downright foolish to make those comparisons to the units in the C5/C6 Corvette. The leaf system in the newer Corvettes is a single leaf composite design that demonstrates technologial advancements in both mechanical and material design. Also, you are a complete fool to think the LS2 engine was not designed comletely on a computer package. Its just as easy to say the ITC engine in general was developed before computers. Does that make the V-10 in the Carrera GT less impressive? No, it doesnt. Your stubborness regarding General Motors finest product is a bit puzzling.

and snow, don't forget about snow. vettes are sweet though. i would gladly drive it on the highway in the summer.

run more boost. 20.3 is stock 05-6s. plus i see you got a JDM DV. there was no need for that BOV if you're only running 20.
