It's not forced induction, it's a power adder.

[QUOTE=05 EVO RS]yes nitrous is concidered a form forced induction:

1)you are putting something in the motor that is not "natrually" there, you are forcing the motor to take in the nitrous. You put it there, its not "natrually asperated" any more. It was extra oxygen that you forced it to take in, not something the motor chose to.QUOTE]

??? Engines ("motors") get to choose what to take in unless someone "forces" them to take in something else?

I think you're confusing "forced", meaning pressurized, with the more general meaning (not having any choice over a decision), and then further confusing the term with the classes that drag racing allows to be called "naturally aspirated". I agree that nitrous injection does not fall under the "naturally aspirated" category, but it is not "forced induction" just because the motor doesn't have a choice.

im not confused at all in the topic, i know that nitrous dosent pressurize the intake system i may not have worded it properly, but it suonded good in my head....lol...i understand where you guys are comeing from w/ the not intirely "forced induction" catagory......get this one my friend was looking at ITB's (Individual Throttle Bodies) for his 00 GSR integra (ya i know it a honda) but....one of his tuning guys told him that if he put them on he would not be concidered NA any more because of the but power gains form them 30-40 whp w/ a tune, they bust fall into the same catigory as n2o. the guys that told him this have been in mags. countless times w/ $#!t loads of world records. RPM NYC btw there amazing i went down there a few times w/ him. a few months ago there was a white r32 skyline on the cover of i think it was turbo mag (i could be wrong) it had that like white carbon fibre lip kit on it. that car was beening built by them when i was down there i was awesome.

Uhhh, I have bad news for your world famous honda friends....Just because you change the throttle bodies doesn't change the aspiration of the car....it's still not forced induction.

IF it's not making pressure in the intake manifold, it's not forced induction period.
