Come on now you cant put the blame on just the louisiana board.
CBS/AP) President Bush on Sunday urged people living in the path of Hurricane Katrina to take the storm extremely seriously and to move to safer ground. "We cannot stress enough the danger this hurricane poses to Gulf Coast communities," said the president.

"We will do everything in our power to help the people and the communities affected by this storm," President Bush said
as Katrina bore down on a stretch of coastline that includes New Orleans, a city sitting below sea level with 485,000 inhabitants. "I urge all citizens to put their own safety and the safety of their families first by moving to safe ground."

Governor Blanco:

"We keep getting reports in some places that maybe water is coming over the levees," Gov. Kathleen Blanco said shortly after noon on Aug. 29, according to the video that was obtained Thursday night. "We heard a report unconfirmed, I think, we have not breached the levee. I think we have not breached the levee at this time."

You can see how Bush got confused. Blanco, in her own state, was denying what the National Weather Service was claiming. She was claiming that there was no breach and she was denying Federal assistance. Blanco was also barring the Red Cross from providing relief...All this incompetence turned a snowball into an avalanche, and this avalanche IS NOT the responsibility of the Federal Government.

Most importantly, everything is Bush's fault...This is the real issue here. The media hates Bush and if they can throw excrement his way they do. They are hostile to him and will stop at nothing to make him look bad, this accounts for his present low poll numbers.

It didn't take a rocket science to realize living below sea level, under a levee was potentially problematic. What is not taken into account is the responsibility of those who decided to stay, despite the so-called "mandatory" evacuation of the New Orleans area. Many decided to stay there, the others were told to get themselves out, and the others were left high and wet by Ray "what school buses" Nagin...Louisiana turned Katrina into a major disaster. Louisiana refused Federal intervention. Louisiana barred the Red Cross from entering to aid the welfare junkies and other downtrodden...ITS BUSH'S FAULT!...Everything is.

You guys are fighting with someone who believes that planet earth is only 6000 years old, most likely will say Dinosaur bones were created by leftist republican hating liberals who should be teated the same as **** war criminals, and believes the human race actually came from a man and a women who talked to a snake, AND THE SNAKE TALKED BACK! can we just stop wasting our time trying to convince this person to think rationally about ANYTHING, cause its absolutly clear at this point, that to him president bush should be considered a god, and anyone who criticizes ANY of his actions should have theyre heads on a pike for daring to defile, KING GEORGE THE AS5HOLE II. I gave up cause nobody will change this guys mind on what he already believes is the truth, its completly pointless for me to even be typing this right now actually....

Yep like I said the aftermath problems were because the local government was highly inept.

Actually even in the Bible in the Book of Genesis it talks of a talking serpent that entices Eve to eat from the tree of good and evil, then Eve told adam so adam did it too.

also in genesis it says that the earth was created in 6 days, where the word days here in hebrew can be interpretted as stages in which case no one knows the age of the earth but God. fancy that.

Bush Waited a week before he did anything and after the News portrayed how terrible it was down there. Then he jumped to action by pointing the finger elsewhere. The man they fired warned everyone while Bush was having fun at his ranch ignoring his duties as usual.
