help with stereo recommendation

I don't know much about stereos. Can someone recommend a car stereo that plays mp3s and has either a USB port that accepts USB flash drives, or a memory slot that can accept SD memory? I have the SSL package and would like the stereo to work with the existing speakers and sub with a minimum of hassle. I've searched and can't find any recommendations relating to units with USB or memory slots. Thanks in advance.

i have never heard of any car stereos that have a USB port. there are a couple really expensive JDM decks that can use a SD card though. $1500 & up...

i believe there is the pioneer docking thing? i forgot what it's called. there are head units that can hold flash cards, but i'm not to sure about a USB. just look around, depending on your budget, go to best buy or a mom & pop shop

To use your SSL Package amplifier and speaker system with an aftermarket deck you'll also have to get an adapter which connects to the line outs on the deck and has a remote wire to turn the amp on. It connects to the round connector which previously connected to the back of the stock deck. I got mine from www.aleds.com for like $30.

My deck is a Clarion Pro Audio. It doesn't have a USB port, but will play MP3/WMA/CD/CD-RW and has hookups for ipod and sirius satellite. It also has like 700 variations in lighting color so you can match it to your cluster gauges. Its a killer deck.

Hehe wow your in the future. I think we are a long way away from usb ports sd ports in our headset. You would probably have to get those window media computer head units that cost 2 grand.

Eclipse head units incorporate Sony Memory Stick Duo slots. The higher end models have the slots. Search Fujitsu-Ten and Eclipse car stero on google, I forget their corporate site. By the way these are great head units, plus they have great security features. I have to say though their newest line is too flashy for me, I always stick with Alpine. Great sound, not a lot of flash. Function before form.

the closest youre going to get is an Ipod capable deck like pioneer and alpine. i have an Alpine 9853 with the ipod adapter with my ssl package. yes you can buy that 30 adapter to hook up the deck to your factory amp, but if you bring it to a good shop they can deal with the wiring without the adapter like the shop that i went to.
also someone mentioned another stereo product before i think they were discribing the Music Keg.
