yes, i have a remote start on my evo. you need an extra key installed in the vehicle, just a tip though, shave off the teeth of the key before you install it into the immobilizer.

My turbo timer was built into the alarm/remote start. That way you know you will live it out of gear.

Or you can do like I did.
Mount the key box where you can reach it easily. If you park it somewhere that isn't safe, remove the key and disable the remote start. With the key out, the immobilizer works fine.
By-the-way, if the key is in the car, it can be hot-wired, you don't need to use the left-in key in the ignition.

The remote start is great with real cold and real hot weather to pre-heat/cool your car.

Oh, I have the Compustar also. I only use the remote start with the turbo timer. If it isn't running when the door is closed/locked, the remote won't work.

I had remote-start UNGO SR5000 on the yellow evo. Required a key, (programmed but uncut), in a module to be energized by the alarm. And now have an UNGO SR6000 in the blue one. Same module required. Works like a charm. Also installed the same alarm in my buddies STi a couple of months ago.

bypass kit does have one but it will probably require a dealer scan tool to program it. Other than that you will need to use your key!!!
