Where do you get this stuff? The stock limiter is JUST like a 2-step. It works exactly the same. Where in the world did you hear that it's good to launch from 4k rpm? That's awful advice once again. Why do you keep doing that? From 4k, you have to slip the living hell out of the clutch.

The Stock Limiter is set at 5k or 5.5k right? Just dumping your clutch at that low of an RPM will Bogg the hell out and you lose precious time on the launch. You still have to slip the clutch a tad and then drop the clutch at that rpm...

your standard oem launch rev limiter does not work like the aem ems 2 step.

It maybe similar to your flash launch limiter, but you have a lot more bog than building up boost and go.

I guess it's so identical, people are taking it out.

I know where you get your crap. 4k rpm, if you don't take the oem launch rev limiter, because 80% of the time, you'll bog.

you have serious issues, boy.

Does anybody have any idea what this guy is talking about? The launch limiter works just like a 2-step - it builds boost just like any ECU-controlled 2-step, and it works very well. The only problem with the 05 2-step is it's set at 5k, which is too low for some people (including me). However, the IX is set at 5500rpm, which is perfect. You don't bog from a 5500rpm launch limiter unless you don't know how to use it.

I still have no idea where you get that 4k rpm idea. That is just awful, AWFUL advice. Please find where I've given awful advice on launching or anything else. I've been answering launch questions for a year on this forum in threads, through PMs, and through videos. I believe my track times qualify me to do so. What about you?

That actually pretty much sums it up..
Launch at 4000 would require ALOT more slipping then say 5500...
So boys and girls, what do we know about slipping the clutch longer?

I never bog with the stock 5k limiter. I can usually get the front tires to spin a little by using it. Why would you bog with a 5k limiter, but not a 4k slip? Doesn't make any sense.

I build about 6-7psi letting it sit on the stock limiter. A friend with an Evo 9 has his set at 5900rpms and see's about 13psi.
