There's something about a bone stock 286hp car running 12's in the 1/4 straight from the factory that makes me wonder pesonally! If you search around, there's a few IX owners that ran 12.9 bone stock (so they say at least).

Horsepower is a function of rpm, torque, and constants to convert rpm and ft-lbs. to "Horsepower". When we look at the EVO it should be noted it has an very flat torque characteristic which is one of the reasons the car performs so well, regardless of peak hp.
