I haven't got one yet, because i haven't purchased my buscher/warrtalon package yet. (and the package comes with a flash)

i know what he means. but i have a feeling with the way things go and the way he works on the forum's this thread is another problem. im not going to post nothing more.

I voted NO. I do not want to mess with my ECU. I prefer a piggy back that I can remove when/if I have to take the car to the dealer. I considered a flash, but changed my mind. Aside from messing with the ECU, a flash does not give me two maps for 91 octane and 100 octane. I also considered an SAFC, but I did not want to have an mbc added to control boost. Plus the SAFC does not control timing directly from what I read.

I will be getting an Xede on the 24th. I am having Tuning Technologies install and tune it. I would have loved to have Shiv do it, but he is too far away. A local tuner is better for me since I can go back to them in case problems crop up. From what I read, TT has an excellent reputation.

U might want an xedeflash for 100 bucks to eliminate the boostcut that happens when u boost above 22psi and raise the Rpms a lil.

I am going to go w/o the flash for now. The 100 octane map is for road racing and I do not intend to turn up the boost for that. All I need from the 100 octane map is to increase power by leaning out the car to around 11-11.5 in the high rpms and 100 octane gas to protect from detonation. 7600 rpm is plenty so far. I also want to reduce ECU driven boost taper on both the 91 and 100 octane maps. There will still be boost taper from the limits of the turbo, but not as much as stock.

Maybe in the future i will get the Xedeflash, but for now it will be the basic Xede.

this should be interesting... something tells me this is more than just "market research".

but to keep this on topic, yes.

no, mainly cuz i am happy with my car stock, all i have is a catless greddy ti exhaust with stock downpipe and no flash or anything.

i dont believe a flash will justify for the mod plans that i have for my evo, if i ever mod i want it to have at least 400 hp and a different turbo, i dont want to max out the stock one by any add on's, bolt on's or any flashes

i know ill have to get tuned if i go over 400 hp but by then ill getta standalone

another thing is that i cant afford anything to break in my evo, and i cant loose warranty, im sure that by the time i get closer to paying off my car ill start to mod, but not right now
