Custom road tune by Al, I am very happy, the car is totally different. I have had numerous forms of engine management on previous cars and I feel that the flash is the best choice for mild STREET cars. If you plan on going all out and making a RACE car go for a stand alone.

Now for my opinion. How many people on this board are just middle class dreamers with a serious case of ADD? We have these delusions of grandeur thinking we will be able to accomplish what shop cars and the few with unlimited budgets can. We buy as much as we can and never get the car running as good as it can due to "constraints" wether it be financial or time. Here you have this car which will never get finished or be running as goood as it could potentially be. We buy into the "Race" mentality for our "Street" cars and think the stand alone is the only way to go. I know you want a really fast car, but, ask yourself do you want the hedaches of a stand alone that go along with your ego?

Damn I must be getting old........

No, I was waiting to get all the parts installed. Pending HP pump that it is on mail as we speak.

I own a IX and I will be willing to buy a standalone when available.

On my Civic, I have the settings that I want with third party software and even some features I even coded myself..... Like A/C Cutoff dependant on RPMs & TPS angle and Launch Control dependant on TPS.

I would like to have that functionality at my fingertips.... then driving my Evo will be 10 X more exciting. Meaning tons of fun!

I answered no.

If the ecutek flashes were a little more affordable, I'd probably have one by now. It's just hard to justify it when the license plus custom tuning is more than an Xede. I'll be needing something soon though, my Turbotrix cams should be here any day now.

No...went stand-alone with MAF delete + tune for under $1000. Cant beat that. The local tuner had the car up and running making the power/AFR's I wanted in three hours.

This guy isnt even an Evo specific tuner and he got the idle and cold start right THE FIRST TIME.

No, I'm scared I might loose my warranty. Plus the Mod bug will bite me if I do a flash, then all hell would break loose.

No, I am waiting until all of the parts sitting in my basement migrate somehow onto the car.

With these mods:

3" TBE w/ Cat Delete
Tubular Manifold
High Flow O2 Housing
Lower I/C pipe
Walbro 255
Fuel Rail
Hondata Intake Manifold Gasket

It is possible to get a reflash for the mods, even though they are not done yet?

The car would only be driven with the reflash but no mods only about a week, and
will be driven very carefully.

Is that possible to do that? (reason being is the car is used for daily driving, which always creates problems..)
