reason 1 is warranty issues, 05-06 are dealer detectable. reason 2 is price jump, custom tunes run $500-$750 depending on software and whenever you change something you need a reflash that costs you around another $200-$300, so by the time you get flashed 2-3 times you could've had a power FC and only payed for the dyno time when you change. reason 3 is no local tuners that do flashes, i don't like the mail-in option, some of us only have the evo as our DD and can't have 2-3 days downtime waiting, plus i'd put more faith in a custom tune.

No, I have a Dynoflash custom street tune. I haven't changed anything since then that would necessitate a reflash.

yup on my 3rd reflash now.. will be making the jump to AEM which will probably save me money in the long run.

 

yup. both EVO's are flashed. wouldn't have it any other way unless i can get my hands on a MoTeC system...
