reason 1 is warranty issues, 05-06 are dealer detectable. reason 2 is price jump, custom tunes run $500-$750 depending on software and whenever you change something you need a reflash that costs you around another $200-$300, so by the time you get flashed 2-3 times you could've had a power FC and only payed for the dyno time when you change. reason 3 is no local tuners that do flashes, i don't like the mail-in option, some of us only have the evo as our DD and can't have 2-3 days downtime waiting, plus i'd put more faith in a custom tune.

No I haven't yet. New car and all. But I would be hesitant, I am worried that Mitsu would try and void the warranty. I am still doing research on what I can and can't do to this car.

was custom flashed by al in summer 05 and was custom reflashed in feb 06. dont have the money for a stand alone

no but i planned on getting a dynoflash mail-in this spring! I just haven't gotten around to it yet.

No, I have a Dynoflash custom street tune. I haven't changed anything since then that would necessitate a reflash.
