Anyone ever painted the hood louvers the same color as your exterior? Would the paint stand up to the heat?

 

I'd like to know too.

 

You can get heat resistant paint, but the question is how are you gonna make it stick? Primer i would imagine buuuuuuuuuut it sounds like a shody job.

Yes i just painted mine last week. I first sanded it and then sprayed it with an adhesion promoter and put a couple coats of reg. temp. on and all is well.

Im going to be doing mine soon as well, doing a nice Jet black...just make sure you use high temp paint and clear coat.

just clean it real good with rubbing alcohol
put 2 coats of primer
and use high temp engine paint your choice of color
so far my paint job is holding up alot longer than mitsus
