Ask yourself these questions:

1) What is the purpose of a BOV?
2) How good is my stock BOV?
3) How well does my stock BOV serve the purpose referenced in question 1?
4) What in the world would make me think of replacing my BOV, especially if I don't know the answers to questions 1-3?
5) Why would I even think of touching the BOV first on my brand new IX to begin with?

Please tell me the answers to those questions, then I can provide assistance.

so just out of curiousity, i know most people want to replace the bov so that you can hear it, but is replacing the stock one that bad? does it actually make a difference? so say that the purpose is just for sound effect, will it affect performance?

Evo racer, please do a _tiny_ bit of research. We've discussed this countless times. Hell, just look for any post by me that mentions a BOV in the last month or two. You're bound to find 10 explanations from me that answer these questions...

It's not that it's that bad, but you're spending money on something that offers you very little, if any, performance enhancement. The stock IX BOV is perfectly fine. Like all others above, stay with the stock BOV.

yea stay with the stock one. The 9 one works perfectly and if its not broke, dont fix it.

if you want to hear your bov dump a little more, just install a k&n panel filter in your stock airbox.

No need to buy a vortex generator either.

You really should consult with us before making _ANY_ purchases on your IX, which is a badass piece of automotive machinery. You do realize how fast your car can be with minimal money spent, right? Take a look at the link in my sig - that's how you should be spending your money - not on BOVs and VGs.

if you want to hear a pssssshhh put an intake on it and you,ll get your bov noise, but dont touch the stocker unless your upgrading to the point where you need one.do an intake tbe mbc, and a dyno flash and watch that IX really come to life.even then still keep your stock BOV

There is absolutely nothing wrong with the stock BOV on the IX. Im not certain, but I think the bov on the VIII was plastic and they changed that on the IX. And definitly do not vent it to atmosphere, thatll make it run even worse.
