You did not research it on here, because there's tons and tons of threads explaining it in GREAT DETAIL.

you know what silver, it's all good i have no problem with your question, i was a curious myself, but i got yelled at by MR GOD himself warrtalon. I know he's highly respected on this website, but dang man you need to stop bashing on people, otherwise you'll just make this site another s2ki.com, where the owners or evo's are nothing but stuck up ******. Warrtalon honestly i give you mad props for the knowledge that you have, i don't want that to go un-noted, but your patience with people is just un-inspiring. I've been driving honda's and acura's all my life, my last race car was a type r that got stolen, my knowledge is extensively in that realm, i'm not knew to the race world, but i'm very knew to evo's and turbo setups, i like researching, but sometimes asking a question doesn't hurt to, who cares if it's been written 100 times, don't bother going in and answer it then, you won't waste your time, and you won't offend the lister. I looked at your package though, i might be interested. Above all, i trust everything warrtalon says, and would do it, but i just don't like the way it comes across. can't we all just get along?

hehe.. I posted a thread like this 2 weeks ago and did my research... alot of people say to keep the stock jdm BOV on your car... I was gonna buy a BOV first before everything but I changed my mind... Instead, I bought the HK Ti carbon exhuast system and my tein s springs first...

Sorry, but this part is dead wrong. That is the attitude that ruins things. If it's already been asked AND ANSWERED 100 times, then asking it again is counterproductive. It litters the search engine and makes it increasingly difficult to get the REAL answers. Your suggestion/opinion is the EXACT opposite of how it should work. Don't tell the long-term, helpful members just to not click on the thread. You need to tell the newbies to follow the rules, which state that you MUST SEARCH BEFORE POSTING. If I just stopped clicking on threads, how would I help anyone? I don't know what the subject matter is unless it is clearly explained in the thread title, which happens about 1 out of 100 times.

The DVs that came on the Evo VIIIs stock were not that great and were made of plastic and they would leak boost when you turn the boost up. But it seems that the Evo IXs already have great DVs from the factory. I would say you guys are pretty lucky.

hahaha, you read all that and you have to just x out that factor? do you really have that much time? well i see your point, and yeah it is quite annoying when searching to have to go through a lot of junk, i guess i'm just a soft hearted guy who don't think that insulting produces results, complaining about it rarely fixes a situation anyways, dealing with it sometimes is only the best result if it's out of control. either way to get to the real topic of this thread, i was never planning on buying a different bov anyways, i think the evo itself is fast enough, i'm going for handling more than anything, maybe that way we can beat the s2k's in auto x, hehe. warrtalon, you are the man, i will admit, i don't want to get on your badside, cause i will probably need your help someday.

For the record, I didn't insult anyone either. What I keep trying to do is get people to THINK by having them asking themselves questions. So far, not one of these IX BOV guys has answered the self-help questions. I think they get the picture and change their minds on the subject, but I wish they'd actually answer the questions. In fact, I wish all new Evo owners would ask themselves the same questions before modding anything (not just the BOV).

Please use you stock Evo IX BOV. There is absolutely nothing wrong with it.

I have an Evo VIII and I had to UPGRADE to a better BOV because of my power level.

I'm using your Evo IX BOV for my setup and it works fine.
