Every new EVO owner should ask themselves this question?

Vendor data is obtained through trial and error....and see what happens if I do this.
Unfortunately, without Mitsubishi's help and contribution ...its all a guessing game.
Are you willing to be a part of this "guessing game"?
Good Luck
Sorry Vendors if I am stinking up the palce....

Ok first off i take it the creator of this post has never worked for a car company. I work for one of the top 5 car manufacturers in the world and i'll tell you what. Every car company has it's problems like any business, a design team creates a concept for the vehicle, engineers are the ones to make it fit, but there is a problem behind this too, you only have so much of a budget to make things work, I see so many things get a band-aid fix and no real solution b/c the budget won't allow for a $200,000 new mold to be produced just to fix a 2mm gap. You think things are so great from the factory but they aren't, we get our share of defective parts and broken parts and such, i can't tell you how many times i've done a rework for parts we've found defective. And last but not least just because the manufacturer uses it doesn't mean it's the best for 1 i know we use a radiator from one of the best company's in the business all the way from nascar, formula 1, indy, to drag racing, but i've replaced so many of them, and you know why, b/c companys bid for manufacturers like construction companys do, whoever can produce the product the cheapest gets the job.

wasnt shiv a GM computer engineer? or atleast somthing similar...that would make him just as expierenced, if not moreso, seeing as how GM has been making performance cars for decades and decades.
I asked myself the question before I bought the car and the answer was simple:
Yes. Mod.
Any NORMAL person buying a car like this does so because it's head and shoulders above most everything else that does the same things (read: go fast, handle well, be relatively inexpensive).
For people like us enough never is. We're the one's who aren't happy when our quarterly review says: "Exceeds Expectations". We want "Best employee you ever friggin' had!". We aren't satisfied if our biz made 50 percent more than last year... it had better double. EVERY year.
There's nothing wrong with the status quo. You bought your Evo and if you can be happy with it's stock performance, good for you. Just don't come to me looking for a job... I'll send you to the competitor who's *** I kick EVERY year.
BTW, I just took delivery of my Warrtalon/Buschur package Friday. You'd better hope you don't meet me on the strip, Stock Boy.

Yes the car has some stupid mechanical limitations as a result of "environmental" laws and "saftey" laws which only robs the total power potential.
But overall you get more value than any other car with the EVO.
And it is sad to see posts where engines blow up due to stupid mods and junk parts.....and the new EVO is on its way to a junk yard.
The EVO is a engineering marvel, and we should be lucky that we can afford it....unlike people in Europe ($60,000)....
It also really ticks me off when greedy garage vendors market their crap at the expense of the car and the customer. However some are honest enough to tell you what the dangers of modifing are, others simply feed people BS.

Think about it this way.....
Are garage vendors smarter that 100 Mitsubishi engineers?
Most of these "garage vendors" never finished High School, never mind a Engineering school. Who would you trust more?
Garage vendors act on your driving/ego emotion to sell you uncertified and un-engineered parts to make MONEY. Will they fix your car if it BLOWS up...... NO!!!
Will Mitsubishi fix your car if it blows up...YES!!!(provided you dont mod it).
Its funny...most vendors after their parts cause a engine/drivetrain failure, will try to blame mitsubishi for it and demand warranty repair....!! If I was Mitsubishi, I would laugh in their faces....The sad part is that it is the customer that gets really screwed in this situation.....Don't become one...
All modifications will shorten the lifespan of your car, no matter what "Vendors" tell you. This awesome car was made for performance and longevity from the factory by qualified engineers who built the car with certain parameters in mind.
There is a high price to pay when you modify, if you are willing to pay it to get the
"extra power" or whatever the garage vendors promise you , go for it.
Enjoy the car for what it is.......
If you truly love your car, leave it stock........

AEM, HKS, Greddy, Tein, blitz, etc are made in someones garage with no real engineering? I am confused.... Maybe someone in a garage re-sells these parts, but really...
Even the "garage" folks that manufacture their own parts such as IC pipes, exhausts, etc have dyno's and test these parts... Most (if not all) are good quality and better than stock bends, welding and materials... Again, I am confused...
