Every new EVO owner should ask themselves this question?

mitsubishi denys warantee work not only base don modification but on driving.
why can't people understand that they can deny it for ANYTHING ANYTIME ANYWHERE. you know what hte magnus and moss act does? it gets some "tech" that doesn't know **** about evos or diagnosing them the power to say... uhm... yeah it's the blinker fluid... warantee denied. THAT'S IS THEIR PROOF AND THEY'LL SLAP IT ON YOU EVERY TIME.
and why do people always mention the fq400 as if it's some hot ****... do you guys know how well they fly in the uk? MANY have problems and also... for the money... tehy can be SO MUCH BETTER.
you need to wake up and realize that it's about hte dealer you go to, and there are few that are worthy out there.
you're gonna end up like one of those dumb ****s that actually needs warantee service and trust the dealer with dropping your transmission and then you'll come back later to find that they didn't fill it with the right fluid and now yer makin' all kinds of noises that you didn't think were possible... AND YOU STAYED STOCK. it's not about mitsubishi as an overarching company... it's not about mitsubishi supporting hte evo... ti's about hte dealership you go to and the people who work on your car. NOT ALL DEALERSHIPS OR MECHANICS OR TECHS OR WHATEVER BS YOU CALL THEM ARE CREATED EQUAL.

Mitsubishi would never warranty Bushurs cars....get real
Good Luck

bro, this thread makes no sense, i mean i know their gonna void the warranty, but **** who really buys an evo to keep it completey stock?????????? you want a stock car to drive around go buy a toyota camry. these cars are made to be modded and to have fun with. if you cant afford to have a piece rebuilt or replaced then you shouldnt own this car.
...and for those of us "LIKE ME" who think stock is just not enough, modify that bioooooootch.
I am 100% happy with the way "I" have setup my car. It is setup to perform at any level of competition at any given time if needed.
If you don't have the money to play, then don't!

Are you serious??? People who mod their cars already are aware of the risks invovled.
Thank God people like you are the absolute minority, or we might never have the opporunity to see cars putting out over 4x the power that they came with stock.
Just look at your name... you took it from a spell in Final Fantasy... are we actually supposed to take you seriously??

"spell in Final Fantasy" ......is that a computer game?
Thanks for clearing that up...i was unaware my name had anything to do with a "spell" or a computer game.

while the evo i sundeniably an awesome car form the factory. Mitsubishi, as well as every other car manufacturer out there make their parts to conform with the bottom dollar, and profits.
IM sorry but there are a TON of aftermarket parts that are just made better than the factory ones. While small shoppes might be making parts...they are making those parts with a better quality material, and using all of their expertise to hand make those parts.
Also who in the hell buys an evo to leave it stock?!?!

If it were true, all of us with mods would not be making power and/ or would have blown engines.
We should all follow your signature line and simply ignore you.

How can an '05 RS owner be opposed to modding? Is there any better car on the planet to mod? Especially the RS. It's like a blank slate aside from the important stuff...engine and drivetrain.
I think you're looking at it the wrong way. The USDM production model VIII or IX isn't the finished product. Not even close. Rather it's the finished product backed up a few steps to adhere to smog, safety and insurance laws. Put on a less restrictive exhuast and let that engine breath son! The best exhaust for a turbo charged engine is none at all. Remove the restrictor pill and retune. Your Evo doesn't want to have horrible boost taper at 5k RPM's. It's artificial and designed for smog purposes. Hec why not start with some power locks or windows?

See I like the poster of this thread, he has his own opinion of what he should do with his car, but is understanding of everyone else.
Hey man, if you've got the self control to keep your evo stock, then I salute you. I am not that strong of an individual.
