who gets treated special for ownin a evo?
Went to a meeting yesterday at our sister company (General Atomics) and as I was introducing myself, one of the other Engineers ask if I drive an "EVO", not a Lancer Evolution, but the nick name "EVO". I was a little surprised, he caught me off guard. I guess the previous week I had to drop off a disk with some files and my contact just happen to be out side getting something from the Rouch Couch, and walked over to me as I was pulling up. First thing he said was "nice car". He must have spread the news, so now I'm the guy with a "EVO".
Mitsubishi doesn't do any advertisement on the Evo (none that I've seen), unlike Subaru where the WRX at least got some exposure on TV, lots people do give me compliments on how nice my car looks, but most of them think it's just a tricked out Lancer.

yea mee too but i am used to because i also drive a 3rd gen prelude jdm right hand drive. and when i moved to the midwast about 1 yr ago and still have california plates the are always pull me over for nuttin. they actually leave me alone more in the mr.
Umm. It's just a car. It's not like they can only be sold to Green Berets with law degrees or something. Anybody who thinks they're something special because of the car they drive is kind of a joke.

People try to race me alot also.Funny Story:
Two guys in a diesel pickup pull up next to me revving the engine like crazy. I look over and he gives me a visual sign like he wants to race. So I look back and quickly put my car in 1st. Light turns green and he peels out and takes off. I just gradually accelerate. I can see the two guys giving each other high fives and celebrating. WOW, that made my day...
Sorry for the incomplete sentences, wanted to make that story less painful to read.
