i like hearing stories on this forum ..
who in here gets treated special by people for just owning a evo ..??

for example ..
I go to college ... there is a guard.. who opens the gate for the students to enter .. and we have to prebare an ID card to enter ... while i don't have anything to prebare ... the guard just opens the gate and gives me a wave ! without checking my ID .. and when i enter .. he checks out my ride from behind while i pass ..

i went to get an oil change, and they hired a girl to drive all the cars into the bays. when it was my cars turn, this is the dialogue.

manager: i'll take the car in.
girl: why? i know how to drive stick.
manager: it's to much car for you.
girl: whatever. (walks away mad)

HAHA. i thought this was hilarious.

 

I dont get any special treatment, half of the time ppl dont know what an Evo is

 

yup lol, i still get the dirty looks from people when they see the wing and i can tell they are thinking "look at the little punk with the loud car"

where i am from, the evo is probably the cheapest car people see on the road. my schoold has more ferraris and vipers than the dealerships and in the city i live in, bentley's and porsches are as common as corrolas

i own a white rs, a wingless evo, and livin in the redneck county, most people dont know wtf it is, only a handful people have came up to me and said, "sweet car dude, is that the rs evo?"

but usually if there's a gathering of honda-drivin high schoolers at a local gas station they all raise thair hands at me, a rather good feeling to finally have respect from other young people since i grew up as one of those quiet dorks who was always picked on..
but anyway, there's my input...

I agree, I have had a lot of people tell me that it is a really nice car, and then ask me what kind of car it is. I was filling up with gas once and these two redneck guys were filling up their pickups right next to me, and I could hear them saying to each other "You ever heard of an Evolution before". At the time I had a small sticker on each front door that said "EVOLUTION VIII". I thought it was kina funny.

 

I have too many people trying to stare through me when I'm stopped at the stop light.

It's funny when I feel like I have a hole burning on my head so I turn to their general direction and they look away real quick.

Some of the guys in Honda's are amazed at the brembo brakes. I caught more than few just starring until the guy behind them hunk at them cause they're stopping traffic.
