Then why is it so hard for you to actually see something, analyze, then comment instead of just regurgitating everything with no thought involved? You still haven't explained how the MIVEC is responsible for ALL THE TORQUE, yet a stock IX had 30 less wtq than whp. Hint: boost.

And for someone who works on engines all the time, how could you have actually thought that Dynoflash tuned someone to a 13:1 AFR spike. You gotta be kidding me...

DUDE, STOP IT!!!!! WARR IS NOT GOD BUT HE KNOWS MORE THAN YOU AND ME PUT TOGETHER WHEN IT COMES TO THE EVO. DIFFERENT ENGINES ACT DIFFERENTLY TO THE SAME MODS. THE EVO IS TOTALLY DIFFERENT TO EVERYTHING I AM USED TO WORKING ON.

I never though AL would tune to 13.1, but misread the graph. Have you never made a mistake??

On a side note, Vishnu tuned a IX with TBE and intake, made 310HP & TQ.

Ya, MIVEC sucks.

On your boost thing, here is a couple of different IXs boost logs (from Vishnu) and they boost the just about the same stock...

You shut up. Warr deffinently knows more then you about EVOs, but just because he knows more then you, doesn't mean he knows more then me.
Also, I do beleive he is a very smart guy, no doubt.

this THREAD pretty crazy!!! everyone arguing and shi* saying 9's are better then 8's this is bigger then that Blah Blah BLah..but fun too read and i Learned alot of INFO. (WARR. INFO to be exact) ionno about other peoples 411 ya'll giving EVO owners wrong INFO.. if you dont know what your talking about then just dont TYPE It. ive only been a memeber for a month or 2 and *Warr. is one of a few people that know what there talking about. well thats my $.02

Calm down guys, its not like the 9 is 50% faster than the 8. Its only marginally better, and guess what thats the natural progression that most cars go through. Minor things here and there that eventually lead to a better product. I dont see why people get so angry about this topic, its not like the 9 is a subaru.

Well I ma make typing errors but at least I can read. And yes, we know you make plenty of mistakes. Thats a obvious thing.

I know. Its not like the VIII is bad or anything, I think the VIII is the ****. All EVOs are the best.

I was just saying that the turbo isn't 90-95% why the IX makes more power. I beleive the turbo AND MIVEC help the IX make more power then the VIII. I think the turbo is responsible for all the HP gains and some of the TQ gains and that the MIVEC is resposible for most of the torque gains over an VIII.

Mistakes???

I only made one and that was the Al tune 13.1 comment. I might have made one. Unlike you, I didn't have to make a thread or PM Warr to know VTA is bad, a good mod path, etc, etc.

I don't see how Warr is so knowledgeable when all the stuff he tells people is basic ****.

ps get you nose out his ***.

Um, what are you showing me here? You're showing me 2 links where the before and after boost is WAY DIFFERENT (3-4psi, duh) and one linke where the boost is all the same, but that's because all those dyno runs were stock. So, what exactly were you trying to prove? It looks like you proved MY point that the big torque is coming from big boost. Hell, that's a 4 psi raise! Do you really not see that?

All those charst show boost peaking at 19.5 and droping to 15, in one case it dropped lower. I'm talking bout the stock boost and not the flashed boost. It shows that the car that gained 80wtq off a flash, had "normal" stock boost.

Im also talking bout the whole torque curve but was deffinently point out the peak torque.

Anyways, VIIIs are great, IX are great, too and Warr a great guy too.

I have come to the conclusion that who cares whethor or not the evo 8 or evo 9 puts out this much hp or not. The main thing is be happy and not take what we have for granted. We sit here bicker and argue over things while some starving kid is sitting across the globe wishing he had something to eat. I am ashamed of myself and I need to be more thankful for what I have and what this country has provided for us.
