First oil change on the IX with pics

First oil change on the IX with pics

It seems that Mitsu oil filter is different than the one that came on the car from Japan. It has a different part number as well.

Anyways, it was her first oil change and oil looked good.

at how many miles did you change it at? Ive got 1200 on mine so im at the point where i need to decide if I want to change or keep it till the mitsu recommended mileage.

That's just the oil in the small ridges on the rim of the oil filter that makes it look gold.

I'll be doing that soon maybe I should start looking for the JDM Filter Thanks for the head up.

nissans are the same way, they come with a different filter than we get. If ya try to order the nissan jdm part # they send ya the usdm filter anyways

yea change it . I did mine at 1300 because I am sure Mitsu has additive in the factory filled oil for brake in period. when i changed it i got some very small metal pcs out.
