Question Need Help! Evo 9 rs deal pending

I drove to a local dealership decided to get some prices for the Evo 9 rs. They say they can sell me the car for 28,035.83, give me $21,500 for mine (04 Evo RS). With 60 months fin. i'll be paying $374. per month. I know it's a good deal but I've heard people paying $25,999 for the 9 RS. Should I hold to see if I can get it at 25,999 or......

It's a pretty good deal. Nobody can get a IX RS for $25,999 right now.

FWIW, I called South Coast Mitsu today just for kicks, to see if I could indeed get an Evo9 RS in wicked white for $26,800, and I was told by them that they could do it no problem. Now this was a VERY BRIEF convo over a PHONE, so there is definitely a possibility that they are somehow lying or leaving out an important detail (like thats only good with a trade-in or you have to be a recent college grad or something), but EvoM members are giving that place some pretty good reviews.
Its worth checking out, as I'm in the same boat as you. Although I'm not getting nearly as good a deal as you are on the current RS you're looking at (my dealer here wants $29274 MRSP, and won't budge an inch).

Sounds like a fair deal, you can always do better...but you can take comfort in knowing that you are not getting ripped off. That said you already have a sweet car, I could make a great case either way

There are a few people from norcalevo.net that have bought their 9's from this place, it is the real deal!

Holy crap, just talked to Sam @ SRT. No joke, those norcalevo prices seem to be legit. Thank god for being broke, I was close to dropping my down payment at the local dealer and getting raped on a new RS. I wish I lived closer to Cali though, thats gonna be a long *** drive. Thanks for the link though man, appreciate it.

The prices are legit but if you drive out there, you will pay CA tax on 100% of the car (doesn't exclude trade-in as is the case in IL) and you will have to pay taxes when you get back home and register it as well.

You can trust the prices South Coast Mitsu puts up on the net. I got my IX MR for 32,799. A week after I bought it they lowered it to 31,999 which is insane for an MR. Ontop of that they gave me a great rate on my loan. Talk to Mark M. He specializes in Evo sales and is a great guy too! They have tons on their lot so the chances theyve got what you want are pretty high! Good Luck!

Hm, how's that work? I pay CA taxes on $25,999 when I buy it in Cali, and then I pay taxes on $25,999 when I register it in IL again?
