EVO Ordering Question?
EVO Ordering Question?
This may not be the right Forum:
Question about car ordering. Can a Dealer sell you a car that has not arrived if they have a VIN number?
EX. A car has a build date of 15 Mar 2006 and the car is actually built on that date. When does the VIN get issued?
When the VIN is issued can the dealer sell you the car before it is shipped?
What type of action would you expect from the dealer if the dealer wants to sell you that Car?
What can a customer do to approach a Dealer if the customer is interested in buying a car that has not been shipped?

I used to sell cars, so i;ll answer this one.
By law, at least in Cali, the dealer is not allowed to sell you a car they did not receive yet, they can only have you put a deposit down, which ensures that when the car comes in, they can sell it to you. they can however sell you a car tehy do not have on the lot, only if they have the same car but its not the one you want, so they trade it with another dealership.
Hope that helps.
