How easy do you think installing this setup for a evo ix is. Also wats the return time for sending and recieving the ecu. I cant really be withouth a car for a couple of days except on weekends.

Install on a IX is as easy as it is on an VIII. The exhaust is simple, but the MBC and boost gauge are a little less easy, although they are 2 of the most basic installs on the Evo. There are write-ups with pics on here to help you, or you can have pretty much any shop do it.

The ECU takes 2 days as long as you send it Fedex overnight, because Al will receive it, flash it, then send it back Fedex overnight the day he receives it. Just make sure you send yours overnight on Monday so that he gets it Tuesday. If he gets it on Friday or Saturday, then he'll be on a tuning trip somewhere around the country. Always try to get it there on a weekday Mon-Fri, but Tuesday is the best.

If you can't be without your car at all during the week, then you'd need to get flashed in person at the upcoming DC tuning trip, or you can drive to Connecticut to get done by Al at his home shop.

I ran 12.26@110 with these parts on 93oct. I was putting down ~300whp/300wtq at the time.

People have just started getting their packages installed and flashes done, so hopefully some of them can hit the dyno to give some current power numbers.

One questionhope it still fall into this topic) when you get this package, which kind of warranty that you have on your evo will be void?
Bumper to bumper? or Power Train? Or nothing, and that Wa. BR package will not make any warranty void?
(I have a evo 9, and live in SoCal - I still debate between getting this package w/ some void warranty or just be safe with warranty for ~ 10k-20k miles and then get the package )

If you're worried about your warranty, then you can't get the package. It will pretty much void everything. Mitsu is required by the Magnusson-Moss Warranty Act to prove that a certain part caused the damage before denying your warranty claim, but that rarely stops them from doing it anyway. The removal of the cat and the installation of an MBC would give them something to blame a lot of things on. The flash, too, but they are unlikely to ever know there is a flash.

The only mods you can surely get away with and maintain the warranty at any dealer is a cat-back and drop-in filter.

Here's a torque line. The difference here is I had the Warrtalon package plus the BR ported/coated stock manifold/stock turbine housing and Ebay o2. My peak tq isn't as high as it would normally be, because I was only spiking to 19psi instead of 22psi, so I wasn't getting a big boost spike, but my boost was steady at 19-20psi all through the powerband as you can see by the fact that I still had 285wtq at 5500rpm. After tightening the WGA turnbuckle, I was able to build boost normally, but didn't get back on that dyno. My subsequent dynographs are with alky and 26psi with a huge 360wtq peak at 3800rpm.

There is no spike. That's why the peak wtq isn't as high as normal - should be up around 320-330wtq at 3800rpm. What did you mean by "despite the spiking"?

He's in CT? WTF? I'm so stupid. I was about to go searching everywhere to find out if he'd be nearby anytime soon.

Can't afford anything atm, but good to know. I've got two different plans that I'm still trying to decide on.

1.) Keep my 03 VII and upgrade to the 10.5 plus the Warrtalon package and then build from there with whatever I see fit.

However I overpaid for an 03 with 28k miles and have a $420 payment that i would rather be paying on the IX i could have gotten for barely antyhing more. So that leads me to...

2.) Save my money and leave the VIII as it is and trade for an IX MR late this year or spring next year possible getting one of those special editions.

I just can't decide.

I would wait and sell the VIII (don't trade) and get a new IX for a really low price (do SouthCoast Mitsu if you have to), then add the IX Warrtalon package for $1270. It will be as fast as an VIII with cams, if not faster, and won't put a hole in your pocket. In the meantime, I'd remove that intake, bov, and upper piping, sell it all, then enjoy your nice, quiet Evo that runs perfectly. Running those things untuned just makes you worse than stock and noisy without being fast (bad combo).

I have noticed that my car definately pulls alot harder than other stock evos ive been in. including my buddy's 05. I don't have the stock parts but i could try to trade+cash for my parts.
He said I would kill him.

Im not sure what the previous owner had done to the car but I do know that my dealership is who did all the installs and he was a doctor that barely drove it cuz the car runs and drives like brand new. I thought he had just done the mods in my sig but I doubt those would make that much of an improvement. I guess it could be because it boosts to 20 and holds till about 5500 RPMS then drops off. Someone told me the 03 should only boost to like 18 or 19.
