Review: Buschur/Warrtalon Stage 1

A day of driving and you already get my opinions. Aren't you lucky...

I'm amazed at how quickly the turbo spools now... it's a rush. There's a definite performance jump in the low-to-midrange.

I must admit that the MBC allowing too much boost was REALLY a hoot. I now want to run 23 lbs ALL the time! I guess a meth injection kit is about to be added to the list.

I am disappointed that upper-rpm lunge doesn't seem to have changed much. According to my mechanic that's gonna take some cams (sigh). More dough about to disappear into the red mist...

I'm not crazy about the volume increase from the exhaust but I guess it's a necessary evil. The unit does look good...

Overall I'm pleased. Hats off to Buschur and Warr...

Glad you like it. Can you explain the MBC thing in your sig? Was BR out of stock on the Forge when you ordered?

Which exhaust did you get? I was thinking about this package after I get a few more miles on the car and I don't want anything too loud.

No, it's related to https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=192893

Jarrod told me the guys there all run the Buschur unit and said he'd replace the Forge with theirs.

If it's good enough for them...

Yeah, it is good enough, but the Forge is the bomb - that's why I put it in my package and why I use it. I answered your other thread - the spring not being seated is what causes that. The greasing I haven't even had to ever do.

Why would the spring not seat itself? How long do you expect it to take?

It can't seat itself, haha. YOU have to seat it firmly on the nipple when changing from the soft to stiff spring. It can't just be placed in there - it has to be firmly-seated.

All the stuff's in my sig.

One option they didn't advertise for the package was the Bullett (sp?) muffler. The rep said it was mid-level re: loudness. It's a good looking deal...

Yeah, the packages now always (and only) include the Bullet muffler. When the package was originally released, the Bullet muffler wasn't in existence yet.

All the information can be found here:

Warrtalon/Buschur Packages

The price is $1270 for the IX package. It gets you to ~330whp on 93oct, the price includes shipping, the package includes tuning, and the Bullet muffler is just a brand new design that goes on the Buschur turboback exhaust. The Bullet muffler is ulta-lightweight, is not very loud, and gives more power than any of the previous Buschur mufflers.

All you do is call Buschur Racing, make the order, provide payment, get your parts, then send your ECU for a flash tune.

hmm I was wondering...why does the package for the IX cost less than the VIII. I would of thought since the IX is newer the parts and the flash would be alil more expensive.
