how many evo ix's did mitsu make?
Dealerships around the chicago area are either out of evo ix's or have very few left. I talked to one of the salesmen and they said they were done with shipments until the evo 9.5 comes out. I'm not sure if thats true or not, but was just curious to how many evo 9s they made, bc im lookin to get one in about a year or 2 and id like to know if im gonna have trouble finding them or not.
thx
thx
Im sure you will be able to find one used in 2 years. Im not sure what your worried about, a good dealership will find you a car brand new or not.
What ever you want, they will just order it from another dealer.

Schaumberg Mitsu has 9 or 10 of them, Including one RS. Ask for Jeff if you got there, great guy, he sold me mine IX. BTW, DO NOT USE THERE SERIVICE DEPARTMENT, EVER!!!
I read somewhere on this forum that they only made about 6,500 Evo 8's for 2005. If thats the case then i think there are less 9's considering the 9.5 is coming soon.
Here are some vague production numbers. No details on individual models: http://www.theautochannel.com/news/2...24/001854.html

In specific numbers for just the nine, i do not know. There is a post which i will link to about the numbers made. Read the second to last post. https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...hlight=1500+mr
Don't know how confirmed the source is, but if i think how many are here in PA, which is like 4 total, then that number is not far from the truth if each state gets no more than 10 in the big states, 2-3 in the smaller.
To add on that, someone in that post mentioned ralliart. The ralliart stuff is factory goodies that come with the factory warranty, or do not come covered under the factory warranty. This ralliart gear is suppose to come out in the summer of this year. I am interested to see what kind of goodies we will get exactly.
If you guys haven't seen some of the ralliart gear, PA got the ralli car from SEMA show and was sold at a local dealership near me. http://www.yorkmitsubishi.com is their website, along with http://www.ralliart-usa.com/ which has the car featured on their homepage.
These parts is what is coming soon. Can't wait!
EDIT: After posting, i realized i did not specify the numbers i counted for. the numbers i stated for each state were MR's only.

There is NO 9.5... this has been posted on this forum several times... by very reliable sources. I spoke with my local dealer last week, since I am ordering an Evo IX within the next few weeks, and they will be taking orders up to about the end of April, or the first few weeks in May.
When the orders are complete, Mitsu will complete the orders, and then production ceases until the X comes out, which will be in about 18 months. They will be calling me before they can no longer put in orders, and I will place an order for an Evo IX. It will take approx. 2-3 months for it to come in, and then I will purchase. They (Showcase Mitsubishi - Bay City, MI) explained that they are getting one Graphite Grey SE in a few months, likely july or August, and that will be the only one they will get.
They are explained that I need to put 10% down to order, just as a show of faith to complete the sale... but as for the 9.5... not gonna happen. Unless you call the SE a 9.5, which its not. There will be no 2007 Evo's... not a 9, not a 9.5, and not a X... The X will be a 2008 MY car.
This all may be BS, but it came direct from the dealer, and they are a straight dealership... and they install aftermarket parts, and the owner races in auto-x... so I know they are on the up and up. Just my .02!

just bought a 9 and the dealer told me same thing as evil8 he said the se is just told hold people over til the evo x comes out no changes(or maybe a few minor changes) only a few being produced and considered limited edition something stitched on the seats i think he said
Go to Aurora Mitsu (max madson) and talk to Mo.
That's where I bought my 9 Mr for almost invoice.
He will take care of you.
Real nice guy and the manager there is awesome too.
Very pleasant to deal with.
I would strongly recommend Aurora Mitsu to anyone in the chicago area.
They are simple to deal with and very straight forward.
