Need help on WOT!!

Folks, the problem went like this... In thrid gear and above, it is pretty hard for me to go WOT smoothly. There seems to be some pressure which restricting me to go further than 4000rpm. Most of the time it will just reach 4000rpm and the car will slowly increase in speed. Of course, if I stepped REAL HARD, it will switch to WOT in a sudden. The only easy way for me to go WOT is to launch at 2000rpm where I just floor the accelerator during low rpm.Not sure why this is happening.

Can anyone help.... anything to do with the BOV (Currently having a MR BOV)

From your explanation, I have no idea what you're talking about. You say you're WOT and can't accelerate past 4000rpm, but then you say you STEP REAL HARD, and then it goes fast. Um, WOT is WIDE OPEN THROTTLE, meaning 100% throttle. If you "step real hard" and go faster, then you weren't at WOT previously. Also, what do you mean it's best if you launch at 2000rpm? If you do anything from 2000rpm, then you are not launching.

Please try to rephrase everything to give us a clue what you're trying to say.

ok..once again...

Engine shut down...Push accelerator...no effort...Can push all the way or WOT.

Engine running gear engaged...car is cruising...1st gear...2nd gear...3 gear...rpm about 2000. Try to floor...but managed only part throttle as some pressure acting on accelerator...rpm climbs...3000...3500...pressure acting against accelerator...getting harder to push it down...4000...pressure is really great... rpm stay at 4000..slowly increase...speed slowly increase too....only way to force it to WOT is to step REAL HARD...WOT in a sudden after force is applied on the accelerator.

Engine on...first gear...rpm climb slightly to 1500...change gear 2nd gear... rpm climb to 2000...floor the accelerator..WOT smoothly...rpm climb smoothly....

Hope the above is clear...thks..

I'm getting the idea that at around 4000rpm his gas pedal gets really hard to push down...

This happened even after I travelled for a while. Engine is definitely warm. I knew the pressure was normal...In fact..I liked some pressure...however, in this case, the pressure is greater than usual and it is restricting me smooth WOT.

Beats me...or maybe I got a lemon...

spot on!!! Not sure why...pressure against accelerator is great...nothing is restricting the throttle cable as the accelerator pedal move easily and freely when engine is off and during idle with no load.
