Scheduled Maintenance

Im at 15k on my RS. Did you guys do any special maintenance at this point? How about 30k, 60k(I assume so)? If so what were the costs? Thanks

Read your warranty manual. It's all in there. I just did my 15k maintenance in my RS .

I paid around 130 for tranny and transfer case oil change, did the rest of the maintenance myself. Could have probably done the tranny/transfer case oil myself too but didn't have time. I will try it next time tho.

For the first 30,000 miles I didn't do anything on my Evo except change the oil every 5,000 miles. At 30,000 miles I had all of the fluids changed and the drive belt replaced (~$500 at the dealership). I also need to get the coolant/thermostat changed (~$150 at the dealership). You don't necessarily need to get everything done that is specified in the owner's manual. The fluids are the most important. At 60,000 miles you need to have the fluids changed again plus have the spark plugs replaced.

Well it says to change the tranny and transfer case oil every 15k miles. Damn, the evo is so expensive to maintain, worth every penny tho. I now have to find some tires cuz I'm drivin on bald advans.

The manual says 15 for hard driving. 30 for normal driving. I dont drive hard all the time but I do it every 15.

15k do the transmission (I reccomend Pennzoil Synchromesh) and also do the Transfer case and Rear differential fluids (Mitsubishi Diaqueen only!)
