is it just me or when i get my oil change early say around 2,000 miles the car feels slugish for a couple of days until the oil burns up a little.

 

my mustang felt like that havnt noticed it as much in my evo

I don't know. I've never changed the oil at 2k, which is before it even breaks down.

Every 5k here as well, feels the same after.

 

I change mine every 3000 miles and have never experienced your symptoms.

 

you havent even broken your car in yet...its best to change your oil after you break in your car because you cant break it in the right way with new oil. at least 5000 miles

 

^^^ wait up...is that a new car? forget wat i said if its NOT a new car. if its not then i donno...i used to drive a b18c turbo civic hatch and the oil burns really fast and eats up the oil. i used to change that out every 3000 miles and it was fine for meeh

 

My car always runs smoother and more powerful after an oil change. The key is NOT to fill it up to the full line, but between the full and empty line. The more oil you have in the crank case, the more resistance (less power) your internal components will experience. Mobil 1 for Syn, or Quaker State for non-syn.

 

Wait a sec...always run synthetic!

 

i do mine every 3k miles with lucus synthetic oil stabilizer.

 

2K IS WAY TO QUICK. I like 5k

 

I haven't noticed any change in performance after oil change, and don't see any reasonable explanation for such thing.
