bought evo with non street legal parts

bought evo with non street legal parts
last week i bought my first evo! 
03' rs, about 2k in mods (from what i was told)..... neways 2 days after i bought the daym car i got pulled over and was told to pop the hood 
at the time i purchased the car i didnt kno my intake and bov was illegal........ neways now i have to take the parts out and i guess place stock parts to get it signed off and i also have to take it to a "smog specialists" by the end of may........ ne1 else been in this situation? ne suggestions?
p.s. i have somewhat of a hook up with INJEN i was thinking of goin with there street legal setup............

yea it does, i havent even made the first payment and already have a ticket, but my whole deal is i dont want to buy stock parts, being that i dont have them...... and i think my greddy exhaust is cat back..... meaning i dont think it will pass the smog... im not even suppose to be driving my evo

I think you just need to get a shop or someone to sign off that the parts were uninstalled...I've heard people get out of uninstalling their go fast parts before...such as exhausts when a cop gives you a modified exhaust ticket...you just have to show something saying you got rid of it...doesn't mean you really have to...as far as the smog thing...sound like you are pretty beat...throw the guy 50 bones and tell him to give you the thumbs up...that's what'd I'd do...emissions/inspection people are usually pretty cool

the pig took a picture of my intake and bov with a digital camera and put a stupid sticker on the back of the ticket with a number to call and to make an appointment, he told me i cant just get it signed off by ne1........ im not exactly nervous cuz i'v been pulled ov many times for no reason, being that my last car was moded, jus never had a ticket like this
also, kinda off topic, what do u guys this about cold air intake?

How exactly is the intake and BOV illegal?
Maybe not having a CAT or having a particular manifold, but I'm in aww about that one. Regardless, situation does suck. I'd take that Injen hook up if it's good. However, get more info from the seller on what exactly the car does have! Good luck!
