As with many Evo 8 owners that bought their car March 2003 cant either. This is when my car will be paid off.

Yep 5 years with a car is going to be a record for me. First car I think I have equity in since I have been driving. Zero down and owing about $13k, I just love calling Capital one each month and hearing the new low payoff amount, lol.

Now here is the quandry Im looking at. I dont think I can part/ sell the Evo, I like it too much. But being a car lover, and enjoying the flavor of a new car every couple of years, I dont know what Im going to do? Having 2 cars is kinda silly to me, paying insurance on both, ect ect.

But a few cool cars will be out in 2008 that Im looking forward to taking a look at.

Not in any Order but, Challenger, Camaro, Supra, M3, Skyline, Evo X, and the new body style Audi S4. Anyone that has seen the new body stlye S4, it was in one of the car mags last month, well its very very good looking. And Im sure there are others to come.

Well enough rambling,,,,,,,, come on March 2008!!!!!!!

I'm putting a 6.5-7 year on my IX, ask me if I care lol. I will end up keeping the car forever probably and just keep rebuilding it.

dude get something luxury sport, cause after the evo, there wont be many cars that can compare. now say you get the skyline, your evo will be modded so much that the skyline wont even impress you other than the fact that it's a skyline.

 

The EVO X will just be hitting the market in March 2008. You probably should pre-order one, as they will probably be hard to get and/or marked-up for the first few months. Of course you could just drive your paid-off VIII until the prices come down.

Challenger and Camaro are definitely not my cup of tea. I could go for a Z06 though. I wouldn't buy another Audi after the B6 S4 I traded for the IX MR, and I won't buy another BMW (I've had 4 including an E36 M3) in protest of the ugly Bangle styling. Don't know enuf about the next Supra.

What I'd really like is a Noble M400.

LOL i cant wait till after we have a skyline here....all the grass is greener hype we have going on. You know? Drooling over the car just cuz we cant have it. I prefer the EVO with the extra cash i can make it better than a skyline. After a couple years of having it here....it'll be another evo/sti to us. IMO same thing with the supra. right now they are hot cuz they are easy to make power with and hard to find. Once you can just stroll down to toyota and get one again...it wont be as big a deal. The evo handles better and thats the biggest thing for me. Power can be made with easier mods than handling.

 

I still have a urge to go buy the new Z06, I don't know why but the 14 year old kid in my really likes smoking the tires. Sad but true.

 

I bought my Evo in June 2003, same boat here but I plan on paying it off before then, I just have a REALLLLLLY good rate so their is no rush.
