Question A few questions about the IX!

Hey guys hows it goin?

I was wondering if the Evo VII's Blitz Nur Spec R exhaust system fits the Evo IX?
and what are the best exhaust systems, air intake, downpipe and BOV in the market quality and performance wise for the IX?

Thanks

You can find all your answers by searching. But the best exhaust is basically a true 3" turboback (downpipe, catback) stock airbox is good, if you are going to mod I suggest the HKS RS intake. As far as BOV's go the stock IX bov is great unless you want sound, get a recirculated BOV if you must (tho i have a Tial and have no problems)

iv searched enough, still didnt find the answer for the exhaust question.
Iv already got a HKS RS intake from my previous Evo VII, will that do? does it fit?

i don't see anything why it shouldn't fit? why would you want the one for the VII anyways? the only thing im concerned is the fitment issues probably on the rear since usdm evo's have diff rear bumpers than the int'l or jdm models

Actually the helpful guy you mentioned owns an EVO IX not a STI/STi. And this is evolutionm.net, not nasioc.com, so I could give a rat *** how it is over there in the subby camp. If the subby people really want to be helpful, they'll suggest to their members to trade in their cars for an EVO .

Anyways somebody said earlier, a good 3 inch turboback exhaust with test pipe or high flow cat is the best for your car. The differences between the exhausts really aren't as great as people make them out to be, honestly the power gained will be relatively the same. Still if I could put any exhaust on my car I'd get the Buschur system, especially since it fits on the IX perfectly. I myself I'm not going with Buschur because I am in such a rush to mod that I'm willing to go with a cheaper and less known exhaust, but if I had to money to afford any exhaust it would be the Buschur system. Also look into the warrtalon stage packages, they seem like a great deal and your IX will easily make very good power with the packages for a great price.

Not sure about the blitz nur spec, but the Apexi N1's are pretty good.

As far as the best, buschurs may be the best as far as money goes. Check warrtalons sig for some package deals.

You shouldn't need to change the intake till you hit about 400whp.

You're not finding info on that exhaust...because no one else has one from a VII while trying to put it on a IX. We don't know if it fits - go find out. The BOV and intake questions have been answered thousands of times, though.

Thanks, Actually the price doesnt matter, so any exhaust even if its over priced is fine as long as it does its job... i heard Buschur's tone isnt nice...does its job but isnt loud and the tone isnt nice? is that true?
