BG Syncroshift review

I put new BG Syncroshift (not BGII) into my transmission about 3 months ago. Here are my observations:

1. My 4-5 shifts use to be notchy, it got rid of the notchy feeling right away and this shift is much smoother. I never had the 5th gear syncro problem.

2. My 1-2 shift use to clunk. Since using BG, I have clunked considerably less often. I also figured the clunk is due to bad driving. One should never yank the stick back like crazy...you need to guide it and make sure it syncs up correctly. If you practice you can do it pretty quickly.

3. My 2-3 shift now seems to get notchy on and only on it's first shift of the day. This use to be my smoothest shift with OEM fluid. I'm confused.

4. BG appears to warm up pretty quickly vs original factory fill. This appears to be a nice fluid to use in the cold.

5. My overall shifting experience is just smoother in general. The gears sync up easily and smoothly. There are times when I just smile while driving b/c I remember how notchy OEM fluid use to be and how I hated and loathed it so much when I had it in.

I will be switching to Pennzoil Syncromesh next. Rumor has it, it's the same fluid. I'll write a review after a couple of month with this new fluid.

I use Penzoil Synchromesh, It doesnt last as long as BG but it is alot cheaper. I change it every or every other oil change. I have never used BG in my Evo so that will be my next step.

Nice review

All mitsu dealers should carry it. I believe it is OEM spec. I just changed mine out last week. Always buy mine at the dealer.

I got a problem where if I put it into 1st too fast it grinds, but if I put it into 1st slowly it is fine, do you think BG would help this problem?

Your synchro might be going bad but BG would definitely help. With my Penzoil synchromesh I dont get the slight 3rd gear grind at all anymore.

Best fluid for your trans,IMHO is the original G.M. Syncromesh,part # 12345349.
put that stuff in and it will be like someone just fixed your trans(only will help a GOOD trans,it will not repair one in need of repair)Can be had at any GM dealer and your trans will have never felt better.Cost is $6.53 a quart(may be dealer cost though, not sure but that is what it cost me)

^ I wouldn't say they are "reviews". I've searched and I thought I'll give people some info on what I experienced.

Most "reviews" just say...uh yeah, it feels like butta. bye!
