i cant get mad about it, cause i knew the stock clutch is weak, and at least it did it now and not 2 months ago. then i would have been hurting. but thats life in the racing world. things break when you are hard on them, besides, i get to say i beat a corvette on a burned clutch. hehe

I say get a rental car for a week and a half and pay for the clutch install all-at-once with the performance parts ("while they are down there")...The real problem will be the temptation on break-in, ...Plus, depending on what kind of power you will be expecting *I can only imagine upwards of 475+*, you might want to think about upgrading to a Exedy twin...They are definitely a fan-favorite and a proven component, good luck.

EDIT: also, you might want to invest in a descent brake upgrade, especially with the ammount of power you're looking into...

Works drag clutch here after mine blew out, never go back to stock, stock clutches are like dog poo on a sunny day in Arizona on the highway in the desert c.c;

on a car like the evo you would think mitsu would have had a better clutch put in. but putting in a new one will be fun.

Well from what I remember Mitsu didn't design the current Evo clutches.. the supposed fav maker of the twin clutch package for the evo did. Maybe a plot to make you buy a better clutch? Hmm

Evo IX just started slipping with 3800 miles on the odometer.

No hard launches either. Of course claims that they can't replicate the problem and instead tried to give me a lecture on how a clutch works. Last I checked the car shouldn't free rev while in gear, but what do I know about clutches?
