Keep the Evo or get Porsche GT3?
how about u get rid of all ur other cars (f250 and g500) and get the 997 gt3 or TT and keep the Evo? this way u have a crazy Porsche as well as a practical 4 door rally saloon.
this is just my opinion...having a 997 gt3 or turbo + 11 sec. Evo seems to be better than having a gt3 + f250 + g500...
if the 911 has always been ur wife's dream car, i dont think u'll get to drive it much
so i think u should think for urself a bit and give urself a backup car, in case things go outta hand lol.
good luck with ur decision. this thread should be titled "Evo vs. Wife" instead

She's obviously not into it for the rush, performance, fun of it. She's into it for the surface layer (read: shallow). Who gives a flying fark what it looks like. I, personally, LIKE the way Evos look. Hell, I like SRT-4's. But I've always been an all go, no show kinda guy. I like to keep things simple and all business.
It sounds to me like you LOVE your Evo...and that it's a MUCH better car for you, all around. Save your money, forget the GT3. If your wife wants a GT3 SO bad, she should at least let you keep the Evo. There has to be some middle ground, not just her way or the highway (which pisses me off about marriages).
Ok, enough ranting.
Good luck with the whole situation.

if you can have both better, i think you will miss modifing your cars, with the evo is great to modify you can do a lot to it but the porshe you can modify it but much more expensive and less thing to do to it!
good luck
ps:does your wife drive the evo??why not buy here another car?? something that will fit more with a lady!
my wife hates my car she cant even drive it but she doesnt mine that i have it she has here own car to drive!

Look at it this way, we both work full time, we share all the bills/cars, so I don't think it is all that unfair to have a weekend car we both like. If I really didnt want to get rid of the Evo I don't have to. I do love the Evo and I am just not sure how I feel about driving a GT3.
The Evo with the new mod list would be a pretty wicked car but it will come with the problems of a highly modified car whereas the GT3 is pretty fast and very reliable compared to a tweaked out Evo. I have spent a lot of time and money on the Evo and am looking at dumping another $15k into and am wondering if that is the best route to go.
