Down here where I live in southern MD. Ive seen about 5 STIs compared to 2 EVOs. But Ive seen like a 100 SRT-4s

 

out here in the D i see an equal number of Evo's to STI's...............DEEEEEEEETRRRRROITTTTT BASSSSSSSSSSKETTTTTTBALL

HAHA so you know what i'm talking about! My best friend just bought a 06 W STI so one more STI in SB.

 

i live near van nuys, CA. i have yet to see an 06 STI. have seen plenty of 03-05 EVO's, and a couple 06's. spotted about 1-2 05 STI's, but that's about it.

 

Same seems to be true around Denver too - Boulder, Westminster, Thornton, etc. I like having a fairly unique car.

 

Then you have probably come across my Electric Blue EVO, since I live in Long Beach by the traffic circle.

 

Honestly I don't know how anybody in So Cal can claim to see more STi/STIs than EVOs, it just isn't so. California is to the EVO, what Texas is to the Supra. Seriously, July 15th and 16th is the next street legal drags at Cal Speedway and I can almost guarrantee you will see atleast 20 EVOs and there will be no more than 5 STi/STIs. I don't normally engage in illegal activities on the streets but if I see an STi/STI and the conditions are good, then it's ON! So far it's only been ON one time. In the mean time everyday I'm giving a fellow EVO owner the wave. And I'm all over So Cal, this weekend I'll be in the OC saturday morning, Hollywood at night, and Ontario sunday morning, and City of Industry sunday night.

 

+1 i see 1-3 and maybe an sti or 2 if im lucky. evos everywhere i drive maybe its the area of so cal i live in but 626 sgv is full of them. that being said no one has answered the poor guys questions. he wanted stats not what everyone sees. so sorry for contributing another useless thread to this topic.

 

To find the answer to this question we might have to send a letter to subaru and mitsubishi asking for the exact number of STi's and Evo's sold in america.
In my opinion, I think the STi outsold the Evo.

it all depends on production numbers because i am sure they sold all of them. but the total difference in STIs vs EVOs is at most a couple of thousand throughout the US. according to nasioc they made 7200 STIs in 04 compared to 4000 or so evos + the 3000 in 03 it evens out. assume 05 numbers are similar. and 06 numbers are around 6000 i assume for the evo and subaru says no more than 4000 STIs. there just might be more evos on the road. with most of the evos being in cali.

 

That's the only way to know for sure, or e-mail or call.

I have seen an electric blue Evo a few times roaming around Long Beach. There is a nice white one by the belmont pool where i frequent the belmont brewing company.

 

I see alot more sti than evos around here
