Evo vs. Sti Sales in America
Evo vs. Sti Sales in America
Ok, ive searched and searched (maybe im using the wrong words while searching) but i havent been able to find any stats on how many evos vs stis have been sold in the united states and worldwide. not mitsu vs sub, not wrx vs lancer, but evos vs stis sold. please help if anyone knows where to find any official info on this. a friend told me to try consumerreports.com but i couldnt find any info there. ive tried yahoo, google, ask searches but nothing. maybe i just suck at searching. oh yea i tried searching the forums several times but kept getting some fatal error. thanks for ur time.
I know in 2004, they only brought 300 STi's a month to the US. Roughly 1/3 of the total they produced.

My area of the world isn't exactly the rally car mecca, but I'd say we are three to one strong Evo to STi ratio.

i drive 100 mile + every single day every single week. i live in diamond bar, and i basically drive withint a 45 mile radius of every direction from my city, and I always see more STi's than Evo's.
but what i see everyday doesn't help the OP's question...
I'm sure more ppl get the STi because the interior is better, so is the ride quality. also Subbie in general has better reputation for being reliable. Only the hardcore performance fan's go for Evo's. Most parents buying cars for their kids most likely wants a 30k car to be safer (side air bags) and with more amenities for the interior, so that takes out some of the younger drivers.
but unless someone has numbers from reliable sources....we're all just guessing here...
