I got my turboback exhaust recently and noticed that the o2 bung is on the midpipe rather than on the testpipe. I know this is how it is on the 8 but will this work on a IX? I thought on the IX the o2 bung is supposed to be placed on the testpipe? Please help me out with this because now I'm confused as the vendor told me its the same and didn't matter.

 

It does not matter...The wire is long enough. If you remove the cat you will need a o2 sim
from perrin. If you leave the cat just plug up the hole...

If you remove the cat there is an O2 fix. Search for it. SEARCH and you'll find answers. Apparently the exhaust you have is for an 8 not a 9. what kind of exhaust is it?

 

I dont think anyone makes an exhaust for a 9 right now. The one you have is for an 8. Just plug up the hole and pick up an o2 sim.

 

its an RNR/HKS turboback. I just hope the wires reach.

 

I just did it ....The wires reach...If you remove the cat dont forget the Perrin 02 sim or you will get a CEL....
