LOL, mine is holding up fine with another regular clamp. I think once you blow a clamp, they are no longer good.

Wow this thread...all this just happened to me to a T. I keep getting the p0420 02 sensor CEL. After taking car in to dealer my Throttle body tubing popped off. Mustve taken it off to work on shifter linkage and not tightened it well. I reset ecu, unplugged battery fixed throttle body with a T-bolt. Drove from chicago to wisconsin, after about 200 miles the ses light popped on, ugh. No exhaust work or anything. Gets better, Driving home tonight the damn t-bolt blew off and I didnt have a extended 10mm, ****. Some guy at a station had some pliers and got it on good enough to limp home. I noticed the connector tubes rubber gets worn. I think that may cause it to come off easily. I had that bastard on TIGHT. I wonder if my o2 sensor is screwed. Does driving with the throttle body open harm anything? Im bringing it in. Is it an easy fix?

hahah, I see you are in chicago too...where do you work we can get a 20 mph train going. Thatd be a scene, two evos racing to 25mph. I limped down the highway for about 4 miles to an exit at 35 ~12:30am. I think Ill just take my hoses off who needs em, itll keep me at safe speeds. Win win. My luck doesnt end, this morning putting the t-bolt back on I managed to break the bolt while tightening the locknut, apparently I have more torque then a honda . Brigt side, the place I ordered tbolts from, siliconeintakes is sending me two more 3 inchers for the manifold. Free! Thats customer service. They are pretty nice tbolts, inexpensive there compared to others. Wow samco or w/e here I come.

I don't think its your o2 sensor, I think its your cat. I had the same thing happened to me, but I didn't take it in and just replaced the cat with a testpipe and mechanical fix and that P0420 never came back so I'm assuming when I blew off the clamp, it might've done something to the cat, but I'm not certain.

Ya man, Im just going to take it in to the dealer again. They can deal with it whatever it is, I tried. THanks for your help in my other post too, RNM. I want to have my car running 100% before I do anything, LICP etc. Seems Ill never be running 100%, theres always something. I think my stock clamp is shot, im taking no chances.

I tellin' ya, throw some Aqua Net ultra hold in the coupling where it attaches to the tb and i/c pipe and clamp it. Don't get too crazy with torquing down t-bolt clamps and such on aluminum pipes especially the stock ones as they can be damaged.

I'm getting a SES light for a bad cat code now as well. Dealer is getting me a new one but I can't understand how blowing off a intercooler hose kills the cat like that. Anyone fix the problem with a new cat? My only mods are a catchcan on the PVC side as well as the breather side

T clamps are the way to go. I put t clamps everywhere on mine. I also took all of my couplers off and sprayed them with hair spray to make them stick that much better.
