I removed my MBC and hooked up the factory lines... Car is only boosting 11psi now. VERY ODD! I have 1 vaccum line going from the boost selenoid to the intake, and the other goes from the selenoid to the compressor housing/wastegate actualtor (both on that 1 line). Seem right???

Maybe you have the lines switched going out of the solenoid?

 

i tried swapping em around.. nothing..

 

Are you using the factory lines that it came with or just ordinary vacuum lines? Because you NEED to reuse the factory lines as they contain restrictor pills to achieve those boost levels.

 

Are you positive that the restrictor pills are still inside the hoses? Double check

I ran into that same problem a while back.

 

This is good information. I honestly had no idea there were "restrictor pills" in the lines. I am useing mostly facotry line except the line that was on the Compressor housing broke on me taking it off, it was fried on basically. I am now using a small aftermarket line for that, and the rest is factory.

 

Your basically running on wastegate boost if you dont have the lines with the pills. Which is why you are boosting so low.

 

what do these pills look like? I don't see how I could have lost em.

 

Pinch the hose down the line and feel for a small round pill. If you don't have them, you can order the whole set from http://www.mitsubishiparts.net for like $20 bucks or so.

It's as simple as you not reusing the stock line going to the compressor nipple. Without it, your boost won't work, and there's no use trying to find any pills. YOu have to get the whole set new from the site listed above for $14.55.
