EVO Trunk Bar

Why do RS have Trunk Bar as standard and the rest do not ?

Also, can anyone post pics of where the hols are, that connect the trunk bar?

I know it's in the trunk near the rear section, but do you have to pull out the carpet to install it ?

Thanks,

JK

The vendors say you have to trim some plastic to make it fit.

I was just going to start a thread about this myself...I'm debating the Cusco OS rear brace or the Mitsu RS one. The mitsu one is very cheap, wondering what the trade offs are, I mean its just a brace I'm sure anything is better then nothing...people swore by ebay strut braces in Subarus.

It keeps RS's stable since they dont have a wing to keep the trunk stable

Thanks for the Picture.

Looks like I'll have to peel off the carpet towards the back section of the trunk.

And cut some sections off the plastic panel covering... well for the gsr I have, I had to do that. The carpet is no problem.

Does that small bar make any difference for a non-RS car?

I still don't see how a bar that small can cause a noticable increase in chassis rigidity...
