hello everyone...

found some rust on my trunk - btn where the wing and trunk are connected - is this covered under '05 warranty?! can't believe this!!!

 

has anyone sought bodywork flaws like mine and gotten it covered/ not covered?

 

I just pulled my wing off a week ago... I have one spot as big as a quarter one one side and two very small spots on the other side. Needless to say I'm not very happy... I have an 03.

It's worth a shot trying to get it covered....

The Anti-Corrosion/Perforation warranty is for 7 years/100,000 miles. I
would hope to f'n jebus that they would fix rust on a 1 year old car.

 

I had some, and the body shop manager made up some excuse, and i got denied.

 

Yea right Mitsu is gonna tell you that you have had it out in the rain or even worse washed it. Therefor we cannot honor the rust protection warranty.

 

They won't cover it, the warranty covers rust through not surface rust.

yeah had my car for little more than 6 months told them about my rust issue and they said they rust has to go thru the trunk b4 they warranty nething.

 

 

I have the same exact problem on my 03. When I took the car to the dealer by my house they asked me if I had ever taken the wing off. I said NO, which I haven't. They are going to fix it free of charge! It all depends on what dealership you go to.

 

I would try a few different dealerships if one won't do it, I don't know why they would not cover that!

 

I have two spots on my trunk that are rusting. I took it to the local dealership and at first they said no but then after stating that I work at a car dealership they were all buddy buddy with me and I'm taking it in next week to get it fixed... just shows how Mitsu treats their customers
